Our life change story features Amanda Stafinski from Trinity Fitness Mentor.

Hi! My name is Amanda. I have been going to Trinity Fitness Mentor for 3 years. I had seen Trinity Fitness on FaceBook and knew a couple people from church that went to the gym.I am a single mom so adding “one more thing” like going to a gym to my crazy schedule seemed overwhelming.

I had just graduated college and was starting a new job. My daughter Cheyenne had some health and learning challenges. I was struggling to maintain a healthy lifestyle, be the spiritual leader of my home, and provide for my daughter and me. I knew in order to be all those things, I needed to take care of ME!

So I started going to Trinity Fitness Mentor. I was reluctant and had a lot of insecurities going in but I knew in order to grow I would have to experience and deal with those insecurities. The trainers were so welcoming and the environment was so different than any other gym I’d ever been to. The fact that I could be in and out in an hour was perfect because I had so many responsibilities fighting for my attention. But even more importantly was the financial aspect. Not only was I being stretched thin in all my responsibilities, so was my budget. The fact that I could attend class at Trinity Fitness and give what I am able to and not have to feel shame for not being able to give “like everyone else” was huge. I knew God put this opportunity directly in my lap, now it was up to me to decide what to do with it.

It was hard at first (and still is, ha!). I couldn’t run 200m w/o stopping several times and couldn’t even do a burpee. Now I can crank out some burpees, am growing closer to my goal of doing strict pull-ups, and am currently getting ready for Trinity Fitness team challenge in June so I get to the gym early and run a mile BEFORE the battle once a week.

More importantly, my spiritual health hasn’t been better! I have grown and been challenged by the devotions every time I go. I have also gained a family at Trinity Fitness! They have prayed and helped me walk through so many struggles in my life, I couldn’t have done it without them! I still struggle every day with balance and consistency in many areas of my life. I am a work in progress. Having a strong ? body, strong faith ?? , and a gym family that loves me through it all, I have a solid foundation for facing life’s battles!

My favorite verse : “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11
